I want to add some greenery and freshness to my living room, but to make use of a corner that doesn't get much sunlight and to avoid constant maintenance, I'm thinking of getting a large artificial tree. Lately, I've been seeing a lot of artificial olive trees, eucalyptus, and ficus lyrata.
However, although they look great in online photos, I'm worried they'll look overly plastic and artificial when they're at home. I have a few questions for those of you who use artificial trees or large decorative plants:
Realism: Does it really create a natural atmosphere in the room, or does it start to look "artificial" after a while?
Pot and Arrangement: To break the artificial feel, what did you use in your pot selection or when filling the bottom (natural stones, dried moss, tree bark, etc.)?
Cleaning and Maintenance: Do the leaves collect a lot of dust, and is cleaning practical?
Brand/Seller Recommendation: Are there any places where you can say, "I bought it from here, and the texture and quality really exceeded my expectations"?
If you have any photos of your corner decoration projects and could share your experiences, I would be very grateful!
